Die Generationen vor euch lebten vom Meer. Doch gegen Ende des 19. Jahrhunderts erreichen Wandel und neue Chancen euer Fischerdorf im Norden Norwegens. In Saltfjord entscheidet ihr über die Zukunft eurer Gemeinschaft. Baut neue Gebäude errichtet eine funktionierende Infrastruktur schickt euer Boot hinaus auf den Ozean handelt mit anderen Dörfern oder investiert in neue Technologien die den Alltag erleichtern. Jede Entscheidung formt das Schicksal eures Dorfes.
Saltfjord entführt euch in ein atmosphärisches Wirtschafts und Aufbauspiel das in einem norwegischen Fischerdorf angesiedelt ist. Inspiriert von Würfel Drafting Mechaniken wie man sie aus Santa Maria kennt wurde das Spiel vollständig neu gedacht erweitert und mit eigenständigen Ideen angereichert. Das Ergebnis ist ein modernes Strategiespiel mit starkem thematischem Fokus und klaren Entscheidungen.
Über drei Runden hinweg draftet ihr Würfel um Gebäude in eurer Siedlung zu aktivieren. Diese liefern Ressourcen und lösen zentrale Aktionen aus wie das Auslaufen des Fischerboots das Voranschreiten auf Technologieleisten das Erfüllen von Handelsaufträgen oder den Bau neuer Gebäude. Jedes Spielertableau zeigt ein Raster und sobald ihr einen Würfel wählt aktiviert ihr alle Gebäude in der entsprechenden Reihe oder Spalte. Mit jedem neuen Gebäude wachsen eure Möglichkeiten und jede Würfelwahl gewinnt an Bedeutung.
Die Technologieleisten eröffnen mächtige Fähigkeiten etwa Verbesserungen für euer Boot oder effizientere Produktionswege. Fischfang bleibt dabei ein zentraler Bestandteil des Spiels und ist eng mit Planung Fortschritt und Timing verbunden. Saltfjord belohnt vorausschauendes Denken ohne dabei den Spielfluss zu verlangsamen.
Dank variabler Spielvorbereitung mit unterschiedlichen Sonderfähigkeiten und Endwertungen bietet Saltfjord einen hohen Wiederspielwert. Jede Partie erzählt eine neue Geschichte über Wachstum Anpassung und den Mut neue Wege zu gehen.
